Nowadays, more and more people are using the PDF format for storing documents. That's because the PDF file format has some important advantages over other formats, like DOC, RTF and so on. PDFs cannot be modified and can have some restrictions and passwords applied to them, for example, they can be restricted so that nobody can print them without a password. Besides that, PDF files are smaller in size than DOC documents. Furthermore, they can be easily opened using a simple and small application called Adobe Reader. But the problem is how to create PDF documents. As there is Microsoft Word for DOC files, there is Adobe Acrobat for PDF files.
